Alloy Steel Seamless Pipe

Most Alloy Steel Pipe Manufacturers In India realise that in comparison to the various carbon steel grades, alloy steels offer much better properties. Alloying any steel grade leads to a compromise in its properties such that it can accommodate the properties of the materials it is being alloyed with. Usually, the intention of a manufacturer producing an Alloy Steel Pipe is to enhance the steel with regards to properties such as hardness, toughness or impact strength, tensile strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, hardenability, as well as hot hardness. HSLA or as also commonly known as High Strength Low Alloy Steel Pipe is an alloy steel grade that offers much better mechanical properties in addition to greater resistance to corrosion as opposed to plain carbon steel.

Alloy Steel Seamless Pipe

Apart from retaining its formability and weldability properties, High strength low Alloy Steel Seamless Pipe offer much more resistance to rust because of their lack of pearlite in comparison to most carbon steels. On the other hand, high chromium containing Seamless Ferritic Alloy-Steel Pipe is magnetic and are known to have a low content of carbon while demonstrating good resistance to corrosion. The chromium content in these ferritic welded alloy steel pipes is what makes them resilient from getting decayed. Hollow and thin-walled, the Alloy Steel Drill Pipe is used on drilling rigs, in order to permit pumping of drilling fluid down the hole from the bit and back up the annulus.

Know Before You Buy

Alloy steels Plates are made by combining carbon steel with one or several alloying elements, such as manganese, silicon, titanium, copper etc., These Elements added in varying proportions which provides different aspects such as increased hardness, corrosion resistance and strength
