About seamless butt weld fitting

• A seamless butt weld pipe fitting is made directly from a section of seamless pipe material, by applying heat and pressure to transform pipe directly into an elbow or other shape.
• A seamless fitting has no welded parts by itself, a characteristic demanded in some critical applications.
• By comparison, a regular ASTM B366 Hastelloy C22 Buttweld Fittings has one, two or more welds, depending on dimension, shape and manufacturing method.
• No weld means less risk of weld yield and porosities.

The alloy has impressive resistance to oxidizing crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and pitting. The alloy has preeminent resistance to 0xidizing aqueous media inclusive of chlorides and mixtures consisting of nitric acid or oxidizing acids. The alloy has exceptional resistance to chemical processes in the environments, inclusive of ferric and cupric chlorides, formic and acetic acids, sea water and brine solution.
