Hastelloy C-22 is an alloy formulated of nickel, chromium, molybdenum and tungsten with superior corrosion resistance. The alloy has impressive resistance to oxidizing crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and pitting. The alloy has preeminent resistance to 0xidizing aqueous media inclusive of chlorides and mixtures consisting of nitric acid or oxidizing acids. The alloy has exceptional resistance to chemical processes in the environments, inclusive of ferric and cupric chlorides, formic and acetic acids, sea water and brine solution.
